To attract more birds, you need something for the birds to drink and bathe in. As well as keeping the birds clean, you can get entertainment and photographs from providing water for them. If you use a birdbath, be warned; you must clean it weekly at least, but preferably daily. To attract even more wildlife, a properly established pond with a small waterfall, shallow areas and a heater to prevent freezing in winter is probably a better option for you. For both birdbaths and ponds, there must be an area that's shallow enough for a small bird to stand in comfortably.
